His resistance to Nazi Germany made him a contemporary hero. A true story
of love, courage and sacrifice.
Retrace the true story of one man’s courageous life and his daring
stand against tyranny. What is a moral person to do in a time of savage
immorality? That question tormented Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German clergyman
of great distinction who actively opposed Hitler and the Nazis.
Bonhoeffer came to believe Germany's only hope for a future was Hitler's
removal by whatever means necessary. Now an outsider to both the government
and the state controlled church, Bonhoeffer was recruited to join the
conspiracy to overthrow Hitler. His brother-in-law Hans von Dohnany, enlisted
him to work in the military intelligence unit as an international courier.
As a minister, Dietrich Bonhoeffer took a stand. He believed the consequences
of pious pacifism more dangerous than the risks of civil disobedience.
His belief insisted that he stand for the truth and ultimately, it would
cost him his life.
Hear the passion, experience the terror and walk through his decisions.
You may never look at freedom the same way again. |
